    About the Department
The Department was established in the year 1995. Department offers 2 years PG degree in environmental sciences spread in 4 semesters. During first three semesters a total of 12 theory papers are taught, these include: Fundamentals of Ecology, Natural Resource Conservation and Management, Wildlife Biology, General Environmental Aspects, Environmental Pollution, Environmental Monitoring & Toxicology, Environmental Impact Assessment & Disaster Management, Environmental Chemistry and Instrumentation, Environmental Microbiology & Bio Statistics, Eco-Biotechnology and Remote Sensing, Environmental Economics, Policies & Laws and Himalayan Ecology. There are six lab courses also conducted during these semesters for the better understanding of analytical procedures and interactions. The IVth Semester is fully devoted to dissertation and project work.
