| The Post Graduate Department of Psychology of Gurukul Kangri University came into existence as a separate Department in the year 1963. Although prior to this, Psychology was being taught as an optional subject in Vidya-Vinod (Intermediate) and Alankar (B.A.) Classes. The post graduate teaching in the subject was started in the year 1963 and Dr. R.E. Pandey was appointed as Head of the Department. Research work leading to Ph.D. degree stared in year 1984. Now this Department is one of the leading Departments in the University. The major thrust in the Department is in the field of Clinical Psychology, Organizational Psychology. The Department is well equipped with psychological test and instruments including E.E.G/E.C.G. Depth Distance Perception, Audio-Visual Reaction Time etc. Prof H.G. Singh, Prof C.S. Trivedi, Prof. O.P. Mishra, Prof. S.C. Dhamija, retired having rendered brilliant and meritorious services since the inception of the subject. |
